2011-03-19 Charity Match: Sanfrecce 2-1 Avispa Fukuoka (Updated 2011-03-27)

Sanfrecce won a charity match played today at the Big Arch. The match was played in four halves of 45 minutes each (45′ x 4).
The match was free to enter, but there were donation barrels set aside for donations to a Tohoku Disaster Relief fund.
The scorers for Sanfrecce were LEE “Chunson” Tadanari and Georgian signing David MUJIRI, again suggesting that he may be a good signing for the team if/when the J League season restarts.
Aside from this being the first charity match that Sanfrecce have played in aid of the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Tohoku, it was also notable for the appearance of almost Sanfrecce’s entire senior squad, except for TAKAYANAGI Issei, who must be injured.
Of concern is the exit of injury-prone Ante TOMIC, who must have again been injured. Also of note is the replacement of HISATO Sato with TAKAHAGI Yojiro in the first 90′, which was done hopefully as away of testing Yojiro in a new position rather than because the captain was injured again.
NISHIOKA Daiki was tried out in defensive midfield in the second 90′. INAMI Sena also started ahead of OSAKI Junya in the second 90′, indicating that the striking pecking order is HISATO, CHUNSON, INAMI, OSAKI.
