Following on from the match against Avispa Fukuoka, Sanfrecce have organised another charity match against J2 newcomers Gainare Tottori, at 1200 on Saturday 26 March.

The match will be played at Tottori Bird Stadium in Tottori City. When we visited in 2009, there was a tiny shuttle bus leaving JR Tottori to the stadium, and it was a free ride. It was recognisable by the Gainare paint job. Details on a shuttle for this game are apparently “to be announced”, which probably means a similar service will operate. UPDATE: Sanfrecce have confirmed that a shuttle bus will be leaving from the south exit of JR Tottori (near the kombini). The first departure will be at 0930 and the ride will take 20 minutes, with departures every 15 minutes until 1230. Leaving the stadium after the game, it is important to find the right queue (look for the sign that says “JR鳥取”) because there were two separate shuttles when we visited.

Tickets can be bought from the usual places (Lawson/ローソンチケット, Family Mart/イープラス, CircleK/チケットぴ, Seven Eleven/チケットぴあ) from either 1000 Tuesday (Lawson) or 1000 Wednesday (the rest), at 500 yen for Middle School students and below and 2,500 yen for adults. Tickets should also be available on the day, since the Bird Stadium has a decent capacity (16,033). Proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross.
