Sanfrecce lost a training match played on Sunday at the Yoshida Soccer Park. The match was played in the normal 45′ x 2 halves format.

The match saw the first appearance of NISHIOKA Daiki, the Fukuoka University graduate defender who was signed over the winter. Nishioka played the full 90 minutes, and so may be available for the next first-team match against Omiya Ardija.

David MUJIRI and HATTORI Kota also got extended run-outs after their appearances for he first-team on Saturday – 61′ and 81′ respectively.

The match saw the appearance of KAWABE Hayao (川辺 駿), who appears to be a rising U-15 star. He replaced MARUTANI Takuya for the last nine minutes of play.

Other youngsters who played included the rookies SAMESHIMA Kota and INAMI Sena, who both graduated from Sanfrecce’s youth system last year. Both played the full 90 minutes, reflecting their more senior status.

Second year Sanfrecce Youth members UEMURA and NOTSUDA also made appearances, as well as one second-year whose name I do not recognise (山副晃平). 山副 replaced Hattori, indicating he is a winger, and Uemura replaced Mujiri, indicating he is an attacking midfielder.

Finally, NAKABAYASHI Hirotsugu was the starting goalkeeper, and was replaced by HARA Yutaro later. This indicates that the ranking of goalkeepers below NISHIKAWA has not changed in the offseason. SATO Akihiro, who made 48 appearances in all competitions for Sanfrecce, was transferred to Kashima Antlers in the offseason.
